Aldo Attanasio d’Aponte is the founder and chief executive of Arbitrage Group, a boutique advisory network specialising in prime central London real estate. Operating buyer-side and independently, the firm spans acquisition, consulting, asset management and development, advising international investors, family offices and globally recognised luxury brands.

Aldo built Arbitrage Group around a simple conviction: in London’s most prestigious postcodes, the transactions that matter most are rarely advertised. They are shaped privately, through relationships and trust, and they hinge less on what is listed than on who can be persuaded to sell and who can have that conversation on a client’s behalf. By concentrating on this off-market layer, the firm gives clients access and negotiating power that conventional brokerage cannot.

His advisory model sits at the intersection of property, finance and structure. Rather than treating an acquisition as a standalone deal, Aldo coordinates with private banks, tax advisers and solicitors so that each asset aligns with a client’s family office, trust and tax position. The result is coherence: a property that works within the wider architecture of a client’s wealth, not against it.

He is a particular authority on luxury retail real estate. Through Arbitrage Group he has advised internationally recognised brands on flagship and portfolio strategy in London’s landmark corridors among them Prada, on the consolidation of its Old Bond Street flagship, and the Italian fashion houses Brandy Melville and Stefanel on their UK store footprints. The firm’s wider mandates span commercial occupiers including the Milan-listed technology group Reply, for which it sourced and refurbished a Grade II-listed London headquarters and a development arm that converts and extends period buildings into prime residences across Mayfair, Kensington, Covent Garden and Belgravia.

Across every engagement, discretion is the organising principle for his clients, anonymity is not a preference but a requirement, which is precisely why so much of this work goes unseen.

Aldo is based in London and has led Arbitrage Group through prime-London transactions since the early 2010s.
